When Alex Miranda (founder of The Creative Complex) began attending the monthly Renegade South Florida Entrepreneurs meetings, everything changed for him as an entrepreneur.

This is the place where where truly smart, progressive, aggressive South Florida Entrepreneurs seeking fast, dramatic growth, greater control and independence “gather” to exchange and share timely information and “what’s working today” strategies.

In the first year, Alex became very interested in getting more involved in the overall branding and marketing of the group.

And that’s where the relationship of The Creative Complex began.  The case study below outlines the start and continued servicing of Renegade South Florida Entrepreneurs.

The Creative Complex approached Renegade because their branding was all over the place. Although the group was successful, we felt that an effective brand strategy would solidify their dominance and give them a major edge in the increasingly competitive market of business training.

Our task: To bring together all of the digital and print assets of the group and provide consistent branding. Since the events are held monthly, we also had to come up with an event brand every month that matched the overall branding. We knew that the brand needed to tell future members what they can expect from a Renegade event, and how this event would be different than all other small business training events.

Our Process

The best identity programs embody and advance the company’s brand by supporting the desired perceptions. In the case of Renegade, our objective was to develop an identity that encompasses every tangible expression of a “serious about profits” yet approachable brand. Our goal for Renegade was to solidify the positioning of the brand as the benchmark small business training event in the market, increase brand recognition on social media, thus leading to more awareness and new members.

We accomplished this by developing a brand identity that would become immediately recognizable, distinctive and sophisticated thereby positioning the product for success. We focused on key elements necessary to distinguish Renegade: the members.


The success of Renegade’s brand strategy implementation plan involved the development of a multi-platform, social media and event branding identity program. The collateral is designed to brand the events, drive engagement and membership sales. We developed brand identity elements, digital media, and identity collateral for both online and offline use.


The result is a a cohesive brand across all digital platforms and monthly event branding.
