Today I’m going to talk about the importance of your brand’s key messaging strategy. For companies that are looking to re-brand or just start off on the right foot, the key messaging strategy is very important. It’s basically a business plan for your brand. We take this strategy, and then are able to derive a logo, website, and more, just from that message.

Your key messaging strategy will begin to evolve after a brand analysis. From there, we will help you to create a unique selling point, where you will identify the problem that your business solves for a specific target market. This is the thing that you and only you do. It sets you apart.

After your USP is constructed, we can start to come up with your brand promise. The brand promise is the thing that only your business does. After we have your brand promise, we can get to your brand essence. It’s more of an internal statement that captures the unique mission you and your company are after. Next is the brand positioning statement, which is like an elevator pitch.

Now that we’ve got all these things taken care of, we can start to come up with some slogans and taglines. Taglines pertain to the company as a whole, while slogans usually pertain to a particular product or service.

The final component of a complete key messaging strategy is your brand story. This is why you started the company, where you come from, and where you want to go. It’s deeply personal and very intrinsic to the brand.

Now you have a very detailed key messaging strategy. Remember, this is still in the planning phase of your brand, and only now can the graphic design team help bring your brand to life.

If you have any questions for us, or want to schedule a brand consultation, give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you!
