Call to Action is all the buzz for 2013 and will continue to be in 2014. Why? Because it provides actual evidence of return on investment (ROI) for designs.
When designing a website, brochure, flyer or Facebook cover photo, a call to action is a MUST or else you’re throwing away your money. In my article 10 Ideas for “Call to Action” on Your Nightlife Designs, I define call to action and explain why they are vitally important to business.
At The Creative Complex, we’re urging all of our clients to include some kind of call to action to urge customers and prospects to do something.
What’s that something? What’s that call to action?
We’ve compiled some ideas so you can think about what you want your customers to do once they see your Facebook cover.
Facebook tabs are the boxes below your Facebook cover.
They can link to a customized page you create on your Facebook or they can link out to a URL of your choice.
These tabs are important for your social media marketing, because they let you create a much richer user experience on Facebook and control the content that your followers see when they visit your page.
So, with the new layout, how do you create your own custom Facebook tabs?
WARNING: This is not for the novice user. My company actually does this for our clients because it’s not easy.
I made a video on how to customize your tabs. You must watch it fully or else you will be totally lost
The cover photo of your Facebook Page is a great piece of marketing real estate. But how can you use it to drive user actions and conversions?
Facebook Page Tabs are powerful for driving in-Facebook conversions.
Tabs can drive people tp signup forms for webinars and email newsletters, contests & promotions, and content such as articles and infographics.
But before you beginning to use your Facebook tabs to drive user actions and conversions, you need to know these basic steps:
The BusinessDictionary.com defines “call to action” words that urge the reader, listener, or viewer of a sales promotion message to take an immediate action, such as “Write Now,” “Call Now,” or (on Internet) “Click Here.”
WARNING: A retail advertisement or commercial without a call-to-action is considered incomplete and ineffective.
Let me explain this in 5th grader language: If your design doesn’t explain the “next steps” of how I can be involved, it’s not finished…and if it doesn’t get put in, it will be a waste of money.
